Job description

Job Title: Line Leader II - 2nd Shift Location: Macungie, PA 18062 Type: Contract To Hire Contractor Work Model: Onsite Hours: 40.0 (shift: M-F 3:00 PM-11:00 PM)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in directing employees’ activities within an assigned manufacturing room(s) or areas to meet the daily production schedule under the supervision of a Manufacturing Supervisor
  • Communicate supervisor’s job orders to employees ensuring clear understanding and adherence
  • Complete batch record entries accurately and timely to comply with GMP standards
  • Maintain line/area in an orderly and safe manner while adhering to GMPs and safety protocols
  • Notify supervisor of personnel issues and suggest improvements to working conditions and equipment usage
  • Monitor and optimize packaging operations for performance and quality
  • Assist with reporting production performance metrics and troubleshooting issues
  • Train peers as needed and support daily operations, including changeovers and clean checks
  • Conduct attendance checks and ensure lines/areas are ready as scheduled or back up plans are in place
  • Verify completion of daily tasks, batch record corrections, and monitor ongoing room challenges
  • Support deviations and investigations as needed and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Experience in pharmaceutical or related industry inspection required
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA/BT) in a technical discipline OR Associate’s degree with 3–5 years of pharmaceutical packaging experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
  • Prior leadership experience (conflict resolution, critical thinking, communication) required
  • Must pass GMP assessment during orientation at the Allentown site on 1st shift
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in a moderate noise environment
