• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of client needs to develop tailored therapy plans that are evidence-based.
• Deliver a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy, according to client preferences and needs.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, promoting engagement and providing a supportive environment for healing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and case managers, to provide holistic care to clients.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records that comply with legal and ethical standards to ensure quality and continuity of care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and workshops to stay informed on the latest advancements in mental health treatment and therapies.

You will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals and families with limited access to mental health services. Your caseload may include clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance misuse, requiring a compassionate approach and cultural competence. Your role will be crucial in empowering clients to develop coping strategies, enhance their emotional resilience, and pursue personal growth.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required, though advanced degrees (Master's or Doctoral) are preferred.
• Current and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State is mandatory.
• At least two years of counseling experience, ideally in a clinical setting, is essential for this role.
• A strong grasp of ethical and legal standards in mental health practice is critical.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients, ensuring a trusting therapeutic relationship.
• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and telehealth platforms.

• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse treatment is highly preferred.
• Experience working with diverse populations and addressing social determinants of health is a plus.

• Salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
