Not sure which neuroscience specialty is right for you? The Coastal Region Neurosciences Institute is launching a new RN rotation program that allows nurses to explore Neuro Medical, Neuro Surgical, and Neuro Stepdown before choosing a permanent unit to call home.
  • Location: New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, NC
  • Schedule: Full-Time, 0.9 FTE, 72 Hours per 2 weeks, 12 Hour Night Shift, 7p-7a. Block Schedule available for Thursday-Saturday as well as self schedule options.
  • Department Rotations to Include: Neuro Medicine, Neuro Surgical, and Neuro Stepdown

  • Onboarding: Comprehensive orientation and training program designed to set new team members up for success, with ongoing support from experienced preceptors and leadership.

What You'll Do
  • Build a strong foundation in neurological nursing care.
  • Gain experience with different neurological patient populations and various levels of care.
  • Develop relationships with team members and leaders throughout the Neuroscience Institute.
  • Identify the clinical environment that best supports your skills and career goals.
  • Participate in a successful transition into a permanent Neuroscience Institute nursing team.

What We're Looking For
  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or GED, required.
    • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
    • **Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
  • Experience:
    • One-year of RN Work experience, required.
    • One-year relevant experience, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
