Job description

Azure Infrastructure Specialist Engineer

CAPTRUST is seeking an Azure Infrastructure Specialist Engineer to own implementation of Azure infrastructure standards and improve platform maturity. The ideal candidate can design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions, optimize infrastructure for efficiency and performance, and drive consistent automation and governance practices.

Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient Azure infrastructure solutions
  • Own Azure infrastructure implementation for compute, storage, networking components, and Platform as a Service
  • Define and enforce Infrastructure as Code patterns using PowerShell, ARM templates, and Azure Automation
  • Implement and enforce Azure security best practices and compliance standards across infrastructure services
  • Lead troubleshooting for complex infrastructure issues and drive reliability improvements
  • Establish monitoring and operational practices to maintain system performance and reduce service degradation
  • Implement and enforce governance controls using Azure Policy and Key Vault
  • Conduct policy audits and ensure compliance across Azure resources
  • Standardize and analyze Azure resource usage; support cost optimization strategies
  • Collaborate with developers, operations, and security personnel to support technology strategy
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with Azure infrastructure services
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerShell, ARM templates, and automation practices
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure concepts (Virtual Machines, App Services, Automation, Azure Policy, Key Vault)
  • Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-900) preferred

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • Microsoft 365 Administration
  • Datadog Monitoring and Management
  • Entra ID and Purview
  • Experience in the finance industry
  • Experience with acquisitions with data and integration
