Job description

Job Title: Azure App Lead
Location: New York City, NY (Day 1 Onsite)
Job Type: Contract
Job Summary:
  • Strong knowledge in on-premises to Azure PaaS migration approaches.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Azure PaaS features.
  • Strong Proficiency in all the services offered by Microsoft Azure including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.
  • Hands on experience on Azure App Service Model (Web Apps, Mobile Apps, API Apps and Web Jobs).
  • Strong on technologies, such as Azure Functions, Azure App Services, Azure Logic Apps.
  • Experience migrating applications from on premises environments to the Azure platform (preferably in a leadership role).
  • Experience with Design solutions using Azure Web Apps, App Service environment, SQL Azure, Azure Cosmos DB, virtual machines, server less computing, web applications and compute-intensive application.
  • Experience in evaluating Azure Features like API Management, Logic Apps and Azure Functions.
  • Hands on experience of executing cloud native projects in Azure with DevOps using VSTS along with Microsoft as well as Open-Source Tools.
  • Good experience in developing, configuring applications using Microsoft Azure.
  • Proactively help to improve processes and share learnings with the team.
  • Communication with customer and negotiation on requirements.
  • Understanding on Agile methodology (good to have skill)

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
  • Must have minimum of 4-year experience specifically in Azure App Service, Azure SQL, and Azure Web App.
  • Must have strong hands-on experience in development, implementation, and deployment of multiple Azure PAAS projects.
  • Hands on experience in designing systems using Azure App Service, Azure Functions & Azure SQL.
  • Must have hands on experience in developing solutions using Azure App Service.
  • Strong preference given to candidates with Azure Architect certification.
  • Understanding of development standards and Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Good knowledge of Agile, DevOps delivery methodologies.
  • Good Understanding on Azure Load Balancing, Virtual Network, Azure Security.
  • Good understanding of implementing & integrating application into cloud-based systems in Azure/AWS/Google.
  • Good to have exposure to C#/Node JS.
  • Exposure to REST API and its integration with client-side technologies.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Quick learner with can do attitude.

Nice to Haves
  • NET development background and scripting experience with one or more of the following: Ruby, Python, Perl, JavaScript.
  • PowerShell Experience with Azure App Services, Azure automation, Application Insights.
