Description
The Town of Prescott Valley invites you to apply for the position of Custodial Technician
We invite you to join the high performing team at the Town of Prescott Valley, serving as our Custodial Technician for the Public Works Department. This position is responsible for providing housekeeping and custodial services for all assigned areas in order to provide a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing experience for the general public and employees.

Examples of Duties
IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL:
  • Keep restrooms clean and sanitized and stocked with supplies; clean kitchen areas and eating areas including appliances; sweep, mop and buff floors in offices, hallways, sidewalks, entrances, porches and other facilities.
  • Perform scheduled floor maintenance including scrubbing, buffing, stripping and refinishing, wash windows, screens, walls and light fixtures and glass.
  • Respond and clean spills, broken items, etc.; inspect grounds surrounding building and pick up trash.
  • Participate in the setup for events, meetings, and office relocations.
  • Ensure all work is done according to standard practices, design specifications, and Town and local building codes; ensure proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment.

Typical Qualification
REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required with a minimum of one (1) year of custodial services experience preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job.
  • Must be able to pass the Police fingerprint background check.
  • Knowledge of various cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers, cleaners and sweepers, buffers, vacuums, brooms, shovels and other hand tools.
  • Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Schedule varies depending on the needs of the Town of Prescott Valley.

COMPENSATION:
The Town's complete compensation package includes salary, benefits, and a high-performance culture. The Town package includes a health, dental, and vision insurance plan, participation in the state retirement system, optional 457 deferred compensation with a town match up to 6%, vacation, holidays, and additional comprehensive benefits.
  • The expected hiring range is $20.69-$21.72.
  • The full hourly range is $20.69-$28.95.
