Job description

Location: Jacksonville, FL (and surrounding areas)
Employment Type: Freelance / Contract
About the Role:
Sight & Sound Productions is seeking experienced Freelance Audio Technicians to support live corporate and special events throughout Northeast Florida. You'll work with our production team to deliver exceptional sound quality for meetings, galas, and large-scale events.
Responsibilities:
  • Set up, operate, and strike professional audio systems for live events
  • Mix front of house and monitors for small to large-scale events
  • Work with wireless microphones (Shure ULXD, AXIENT), DSPs, and playback systems
  • Collaborate with producers, video, and lighting teams to ensure seamless event execution
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism and client service on-site

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of live event audio experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of mixing consoles (Yamaha, Midas, Allen & Heath etc.)
  • Familiarity with wireless coordination and signal flow
  • Strong teamwork and time management skills
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to work nights/weekends
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Availability for local travel
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
