Job description

The Production Services Technician 1 provides effective and well-functioning production services to resort guests, by installing, operating, and removing equipment and support items.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Install and remove all AV equipment and support items.
  • Successful operation of AV equipment in events, providing the highest level of service excellence and show success.
  • Meet with meeting planners and guests in advance of, during and after productions to review event scheduling, content, and services.
  • Load in and load out productions both with and without the aid of vehicles based on location of event.
  • Understanding of department operational and communication structure.
  • Provide World Class Service to guests.
  • Participate in proper care of all equipment, department vehicles and support items through correct breakdown, storage, and maintenance.
  • Create pick lists, pull sheets for productions
  • Equipment inspection and minor repair.
  • Properly drive department vehicles and personnel lift.
  • Safety best practices: ladders, equipment lifts, handling of department equipment.
  • Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.

Equipment used on the Job (includes but not limited to):

  • Familiarity with Zoom and Teams, ability to set up, launch, manage a session with remote attendees and remote presenters.
  • Roland production switcher with multiple sources, including video signal distro with converters, splitters, cabling, as well as the higher-grade projectors/lenses.
  • MacBook Pro laptops and PC based laptops.
  • Familiar with Playback Pro, VLC, Keynote, PPT creation and editing.
  • Print sharing.
  • Digital and analog audio consoles, Shure Axient Digital wireless mics, Clearcom, subwoofers, wireless sends, push to talk mics.
  • Lighting: rigging/aiming/cropping of lighting instruments, lighting control boards.
  • Proper install/removal of pipe and drape.
  • Proper cable wrapping.
  • Small boardroom style LCD projector with screen and remote clicker.
  • Uplighting, programming colors.
  • Wireless pin lights and charging of such.
  • Other lighting such as market lights, gobo lights.
  • Set up and dismantle of fast fold screens/ and tripod screens 10x10 screens.
  • Wired high speed internet line and contact card (how to print them as well)
  • Wired microphone with single powered speaker.
  • Basic sound system with two passive or active speakers, and standard small audio board.
  • LCD television with any input, such as HDMI for laptop, or to Comcast cable box.
  • House phone, outside phone, speakerphone.
  • Creating/playing Spotify playlist, connect with Cap-1.
  • House lights box.
  • Airstar.
  • Executive chairs: transport, installation, and removal.
  • Proper removal and storing of equipment.
  • House sound systems.

Absolutely Required Skills:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to fifty pounds properly.
  • California driver's license with no more than two points.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiar with all storerooms and warehouses, along with proper storage locations for all equipment.
  • Familiar with load in/out and operations throughout all Pebble Beach Company locations.
  • Understanding Ebook ability to do day/night shift work.
  • Business Center functions.
  • Strong knowledge Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT.
  • Awareness of show flows, rehearsals, teamwork, troubleshooting and proper execution of productions.
  • Overall technical support in person or over the phone for team members and/or guests.
