Job description

UTA's Music department is seeking an Assistant for an agent in our Los Angeles office. We represent a diverse roster of the world's premier talents, spanning from emerging acts to superstars. The department operates globally, driving client careers through touring, recording deals, performances, licensing, and brand partnerships.
The ideal candidate for this role is passionate and knowledgeable about the Rock, Adult Contemporary, and R&B genres.
This is a full-time position with benefits and will pay $23.00 - $27.00 per hour based on tenure.
What You'll Do
  • Manage phone calls, calendars, and meeting and travel logistics, ensuring schedules run smoothly and priorities stay organized.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets, trackers, presentations, and written communications to support day-to-day business.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external clients, managers, promoters, and business partners in a professional and timely manner.
  • Track client calendars, contracts, payments, and key deadlines with strong attention to detail.
  • Prepare expense reports, meeting materials, press kits, and other administrative documents.
  • Conduct research and gather information to support meetings, projects, and client initiatives.
  • Help develop and maintain organized processes that improve efficiency and keep the team operating effectively.
  • Assist with multiple projects at once while adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Take initiative, ask thoughtful questions, and proactively follow up to help keep projects moving,
  • Support the day-today operations of a busy touring desk with a positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to learn.

What You Need
  • Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Extreme attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and collaborative approach.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically, use sound judgement, and identify solutions independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to take initiative, solve problems, and learn quickly.
  • Previous experience in live entertainment, music, sports, or a related industry is preferred. Booking experience - whether in a professional setting or through college programming - is a plus.
  • Familiarity with UTA's music roster.
