Role: AWS Cloud Engineer

Location: Boston(Hybrid 3 days at client place)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize multi-region AWS architectures ensuring scalability, high availability, and resilience.
  • Build and manage advanced VPC networking including VPC peering, Transit Gateway (TGW), routing policies, and cross-region connectivity.
  • Configure and maintain networking components:
  • Security Groups
  • Network ACLs (NACLs)
  • Route Tables
  • Internet Gateways (IGW) & NAT Gateways
  • Ensure High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies across regions.
  • Set up and manage hybrid connectivity (VPN, Direct Connect).
  • Perform UNIX/Linux system administration, including:
  • Server provisioning, patching, performance tuning
  • Shell scripting and system-level troubleshooting
  • Support and administer database environments in cloud and hybrid setups.
  • Handle database administration tasks including:
  • Installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching
  • Backup & recovery, performance tuning, and monitoring
  • Ensuring data availability, security, and integrity
  • Collaborate with DevOps and application teams for secure deployments.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for infrastructure.
  • Optimize environments for cost, performance, and governance.


Required Skills & Experience

Core Experience

  • 10+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer / DevOps Engineer / AWS Infrastructure Engineer.
  • Strong experience working in enterprise-scale cloud environments.


Technical Skills

AWS & Networking

  • Strong expertise in:
  • VPC, Transit Gateway (TGW), Route 53
  • VPN, Direct Connect
  • Security Groups & NACLs
  • Experience designing multi-region HA/DR architectures.

Compute, Containers & Data

  • Hands-on experience with:
  • EC2
  • ECS (Fargate & EC2 launch types)
  • Amazon Redshift

UNIX / Linux

  • Strong hands-on experience in:
  • Linux/UNIX administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.)
