AVP Program Management Analyst

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is looking for an engineer to join the Hyundai and Genesis Project Management Team

The Position:

The AVP (Advanced Vehicle Platform) Program Management Analyst would play a crucial role in supporting and executing North American (NA) vehicle programs and projects with its software and technology, as in response to the success of the Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis brands, the team is rapidly growing to lead the expansion of localized vehicle development activities

What You Will Do:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, vehicle software, and project management teams to define program objectives, deliverables, and KPIs, and establish clear project plans and timelines
  • Lead problem-solving activities to find solutions to software delivery challenges; leverage competitive benchmarking, business case analysis, cost and weight initiatives, and market and customer analysis
  • Drive alignment across organizations; develop a one-voice agreement on program issues, features, and specs. critical to program viability, NA consumer needs, and market success
  • Align technical and business stakeholders on the program requirements, priorities, features, and constraints that are essential for successful vehicle software development and delivery
  • Monitor AVP program progress, identify risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure on-time delivery and achievement of program goals
  • Coordinate development activities across engineering functions, including requirement and design reviews, feature testing, program launch, and postrelease support, and lead programs through key program milestones
  • Manage program budgets, resource allocation, and forecasting activities, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and adherence to financial targets
  • Support NA assembly plants during pre-launch vehicle quality assurance audits
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders, providing regular updates on program status, milestones, and key deliverables
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and reports to communicate AVP program status, milestones, and key insights to management
  • Assist in the development and implementation of AVP program management processes and process improvements, tools, and methodologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in program management, and leverage knowledge to drive innovation and improvement
  • Travel up to 25% of the time, both domestically and internationally
What You Will Bring to the Role:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • Vehicle and/or vehicle software development program management experience 
  • Experience in defining and managing the scope, timing, and resources of vehicle-related projects 
  • Strong analytical skills
    • An ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets
  • Sound problem-solving skills
  • Adept in Microsoft programs, such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
    • An ability to prepare reports/spreadsheets (when needed) to support project-related work
  • Knowledge of industry best practices concerning program management and project execution
  • Ability to explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent time management, self-management, and organization skills
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills
  • An ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines
  • Valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record
