Job Description
 
This position is for the Gas Facilities Replacement Program (GFRP) and based at the Jimmie Dean Service Center in Spokane, WA.
 

To design, plan, and coordinate the installation and replacement of Aldyl A pipe throughout Avista’s service territories as performed by contract crews while promoting a high level of customer satisfaction throughout large scale replacement projects. To pre-design right-of-way field planning with all underground utility stakeholders including public road departments, and privately owned facilities. To design and prepare construction drawings, determine construction requirements and budget developments, and to coordinate the work to assure considerations for all parties concerned. To provide direct supervision of contract crews and other operations personnel necessary to ensure successful project delivery. Monitor progress and ensure contractor invoicing is reflective of actual work performed.

This role provides assistance in promoting the safe and reliable use of energy, through planning and installation of natural gas infrastructure. This is completed through complex natural gas design and coordination of replacement projects in order to meet or exceed our customers’ expectations. There are several levels within the CPC job family, progression is based on performance, operational needs and scope complexity.

Requirements
Customer Project Coordinator I:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or Journeyman Card.
  • College Level Degree or Journeyman Card preferred.
  • Valid Driver's license and must be able to travel to job sites throughout Avista service territory. 
  • 6+ months' relevant work experience related to GIS, planning, and/or designing construction of natural gas or electric facilities with an emphasis in customer service. gas facilities with an emphasis in customer service is preferred.
  • Must have strong customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in cooperating in a team environment, negotiation, problem solving, construction management, and excellent communication skills is a must.
  • Qualified applicants will have basic computer skills and ability to learn computer applications for construction design, and ability to interpret and explain complex business processes and concepts.
  • Strong working knowledge of key operation business process and core applications.
  • Experience in construction field with basic knowledge of Avista’s natural gas preferred.
Hiring Range: $68,027 to $87,754
Customer Project Coordinator II includes the requirements for I plus:
  • 3+ years work experience directly related to planning and designing of natural gas facilities with an emphasis in customer service. 
  • Experience in construction field with knowledge of Avista’s electric preferred and natural gas infrastructure required.
  • Other combinations of education/experience may be considered.
Hiring Range: $77,595 to $100,486

This position requires an in-person presence to support team and on-site responsibilities.
