Job description

DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY:
On a day-to-day basis this person will be responsible for performing maintenance testing, troubleshooting, repairs, installations, operational checks, ordering of parts and inspections of avionics systems. Candidate will be required to show up on time for their shift and be in uniform ready for the job assignments.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• After reviewing technical data will perform necessary requirements of the assigned job to completion.
• Requisition parts and equipment with Lead approval to perform daily work assignments
• Interfaces with Airframe Leads and Supervisors, Structural, Mechanical Systems, Interior, Avionics and Electrical Design Engineers.
• Will work installation of wiring on the aircraft when required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC:
• A&P, FCC license a plus but not a requirement.
• Airbus, Boeing a plus but not required.
• Technical School Degree or Military experience a plus but not required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the aircraft completions industry working with transport category aircraft.
• Minimum three (3) years of aircraft electrical modification and troubleshooting.
• Valid Passport with the ability to travel in and out of the United States a plus but not required.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Must have a positive attitude.
• Must be well groomed and maintain a professional appearance
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country in which the position is located.
• Must Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a record that meets our company's insurance standards.
• Must pass 10-year background check and drug test.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Basic knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) governing aircraft maintenance and modification.
• An understanding of aircraft electrical installations/modifications.
• Experience in use of electrical hand tools.
• Proficient with the following software:
• Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings of various aircraft types.
• Must have the ability to interact with a wide range of customer groups, both internal and external
• Must be able to communicate technical issues in an assertive and tactful manner.
• Must possess excellent oral and written skills, as well as strong analytical abilities.
• Results oriented.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
