POSITION DESCRIPTION

Sales Director

Director of Sales

Full-Time

Summary Overview:

The Director of Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and strengthening client relationships across Garsite and Progress' portfolio, including Aircraft Refueling, Ground Support Equipment (GSE), Water, Vacuum and Refined Fuels Equipment. This role combines strategic and operational leadership, assisting with managing the sales team, implementing effective sales strategies, and serving as a key liaison with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure business objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans that expand the company’s customer base and strengthen its position across Aircraft Refueling, GSE, and Progress Equipment markets.
  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of sales professionals, setting objectives, monitoring performance, and ensuring high sales volumes and exceptional customer service.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize revenue while maintaining client satisfaction.
  • Monitor and analyze sales metrics, pipeline status, and market trends to optimize team performance and inform executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and operations to align sales strategies with brand messaging and business goals.
  • Identify emerging markets, market shifts, and competitive trends, developing growth strategies and actionable plans.
  • Prepare detailed sales forecasts and reports to support organizational planning and resource allocation.
  • Represent Garsite and Progress at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to generate leads and enhance brand visibility.
  • Address client issues promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction and trust.
  • Develop and implement sales initiatives, programs, and training to improve team productivity and effectiveness.
  • Support executive leadership in quarterly and annual sales planning, providing insights to drive long-term organizational growth.
  • Travel to visit with customers as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 4–6 years of progressive sales experience, preferably in aviation services, GSE, pumping equipment, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth, managing teams, and achieving revenue targets.
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate plans into actionable results.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients at all organizational levels.
  • Experience in forecasting, analyzing sales metrics, and implementing process improvements.
  • Knowledge of Aircraft Refueling, GSE, water equipment, vacuum equipment, and airport operations is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and other sales productivity tools.
  • Self-starter with strong business and financial acumen, capable of balancing strategic vision with operational execution.
