A business like no other - with excitement, challenge, rewards and great people!Easterwood Airport Management is seeking self-directed, highly motivated individuals to serve as Full Time Maintenance Technician I. This position is for staff available to work day and some evening shifts, serving customers at Easterwood Airport (CLL). Staff must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed. We prefer candidates who are available on a longer term basis as the training is extensive. Our staff will be expected to deliver our services and serve our customers with a high level of enthusiasm, integrity, and accuracy.The ideal candidates:Will have a proven background in working with the public.Are open to new ideas and methods in the delivery of quality services.Exhibit ability to show initiative and accept responsibility within guidelines provided.Specific responsibilities associated with this position include (depending on career level): Use tractor and zero turn mower to maintain airfield.Maintain and repair Fence line.Troubleshoots and maintains airfield lighting.Perform preventive maintenance on auxiliary aircraft/airport equipment, i.e., fuel trucks, fuel tanks, fire truck, tow tractors and tugs, ground power units, tractors, mowers, and other equipment as necessary.Operates a variety of light- and medium-duty motorized maintenance and construction equipment, including forklifts, scissor lifts, trucks, tractors, track loaders, paint strippers, and pavement and street sweepers.Operates a variety of hand and power tools.Performs other maintenance needs as required.Perform airfield painting.Perform metal fabrication and welding tasks.Attends meetings with departments and staff.Uses computer system to make invoices and log work completed.Works rotating shifts as necessary.Promotes safety in all activities.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications for this position include:High School degree and at least 18 years of age.Positions available for all experience levels.Experience in Maintenance services is preferred.Must have good command of the English language, oral and written.Excellent telephone and customer service skills.Proficient in computer use and office software.1-3 years of experience in landscaping and mowing of commercial properties is preferredExperience in truck, tractor, or heavy vehicle operation is preferred.Preferred: First Aid and/or fire fighting training. heavy truck driving, plus customer service related employment.Must maintain a valid State of Texas driver's license.Physical Requirements:Must be physically able to climb ladders, lift moderate to heavy loads, push, pull, stoop, dig, utilize many different equipment configurations, and be outdoors in all weather conditions.Will utilize personal protective gear in a noisy outdoor environmentEasterwood Airport Management requires criminal background checks and drug screens for all post offered to candidates.Easterwood Airport Management is an EEO Employer.
