Gulf Aviation Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems and components in various equipment and facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical maintenance standards and regulations, as well as keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance checks on electrical systems to ensure they are in proper working condition.
  • Perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMI's)
  • Preparing and completing work orders
  • Conduct inspections and tests on electrical systems to identify any potential issues.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all ground support equipment including tugs, fuel trucks, ground power units, air start units, and other related equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues in equipment and facilities.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions using electrical and hydraulic schematics with test equipment is required.
  • Replace defective components using hand tools and power tools.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
  • Repairing, reconditioning and maintaining equipment components.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and electrical codes.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry standards and technological advancements.
  • Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures and standards

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training.
  • Knowledge of airport Ground Service Equipment (GSE) and airport operations is a plus
  • Be able to read and understand manufacturer materials.
  • Be able to maintain company equipment; keep in clean and orderly condition
  • Must be able to be On-Call on weekends
  • Must be able to travel to other operational worksites within the United States
  • Must be Professional and detail-oriented thought process.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull or move up to 75lbs and /or more
  • Technicians must own and maintain required personal tools and test equipment to perform their job and toolbox

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures.
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals and noise from aircraft engines.
  • The position may require working at heights and in confined spaces.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass a Federal Background Check
  • Must have a Valid Driver’s License
  • CDL License a plus
  • Able to maintain FAA/Airport required identification/seals or authorization
