Job description

Tom Wood Aviation, in Indianapolis, IN is searching for aย Partsย Specialistย to become a reliable member of our team at the Indianapolis Metropolitan Airport. The ideal candidate hasย strong organizational skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a working knowledge ofย aircraftย parts and inventory systems in a fast-paced environment.ย ย ย ย 

Pay:ย $18.00-$22.00/hourย ย 

Responsibilities:ย ย 

  • Assistย technicians byย identifying, sourcing, and issuingย aircraftย parts inย a timelyย andย accurateย manner.ย 

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts and materials to ensure accuracy, proper documentation, and airworthiness compliance.ย Boxing andย crating ofย parts & shipping.ย ย 

  • Maintainย accurateย inventory records, including tracking stock levels, bin locations,ย expirationย datesย and serialized componentsย in accordance withย FAA regulations.ย 

  • Prepare andย maintainย required documentation such as invoices, purchase orders, andย partsย certifications.ย 

  • Coordinate with maintenance technicians and management to ensureย timelyย availability of parts for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.ย 

  • Operate parts department equipment and systems, ensuring tools, shelving, and storage areasย remainย clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.ย 

  • Provide professional, courteous service whileย maintainingย effective communication and teamwork with all departments.ย 

Qualifications:ย ย ย 

  • Previousย experience in aviation parts, supply chain, or inventory management preferred.ย ย 

  • Working knowledge ofย aircraftย parts, FAA regulations, and documentation requirements is a plus.ย ย 

  • Ability to work inย physicallyย demandingย role that may involve lifting, bending, and standing forย long periods.ย ย 

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.ย ย
