Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday (8 AM - 5 PM)

Job Summary:
North Country Healthcare is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Neurologist to join our growing outpatient practice at Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin, NH. This is a full-time opportunity with occasional outreach to affiliated rural health clinics within our system. You'll play a key role in expanding access to neurology services across our integrated network of three Critical Access Hospitals and primary care practices.
This office-based role focuses on providing comprehensive care to adolescents (16+) and adults with a wide range of neurological concerns. You'll work collaboratively with a supportive team including radiology, EEG techs, physical therapy, and local specialists, with access to tertiary care referral networks.
Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and manage new and established outpatient neurology patients
  • Perform medication management and patient/family education
  • Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests
  • Coordinate care with local and tertiary specialists
  • Serve as a resource to hospitalists and provide limited inpatient consults (0-3 per week)
  • Common diagnoses include:
    • Migraine & other headache disorders
    • Epilepsy
    • Cognitive impairment and memory loss
    • Parkinson's Disease & essential tremor
    • Dizziness/vertigo
    • Multiple sclerosis
    • Polyneuropathy

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior outpatient general neurology experience
  • Experience in rural/critical access hospital settings
  • EEG interpretation
  • NCS/EMG, perform and interpret
  • Botox injections for neurological conditions
  • Lumbar punctures
  • Collaborative, team-oriented, and patient-centered mindset
  • Comfortable practicing in a solo coverage model with specialty support
