Job description

Position Summary
To complete all essential functions of the Cook position and to assist Lead Cook with preparation of food for staff and patients. To handle, prepare and serve regular and modified diets in accordance with applicable federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines and regulations with established policies and procedures to patients of all ages and hospital personnel.
Qualifications
  • High School Graduate or equivalent GED with special training in dietetics and food service preferred.
  • Knowledgeable regarding kitchen operation, Dietary personnel job procedures, and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Must know how to read Dietary Manual and how to fill out special diets under supervision of Registered Dietitian and/or Manager of Food & Nutrition Services.
  • ServSafe Certification Required (must be obtained within 6 months of hire).
  • English speaking and writing skills preferred.
