Job description

Position Overview
The Mentor will provide structured mentoring services in support of Leadership and Organizational Development initiatives within a large federal organizational environment. The Mentor will support professional growth across multiple organizational levels by providing guidance, knowledge transfer, career development support, and leadership readiness coaching as part of the agency's Mentor Program. Services will be delivered as non-personal services in accordance with federal BPA task orders.
Key Responsibilities
Provide formal one-on-one and group mentoring to employees across all organizational levels
Support leadership development and career progression initiatives
Assist mentees with professional growth planning, skill development, and organizational navigation
Provide subject matter guidance based on professional expertise and leadership experience
Support Mentor Program design, coordination, and implementation activities
Collaborate with leadership development teams to align mentoring with agency workforce goals
Participate in program assessments and provide feedback to improve mentoring effectiveness
Skills & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 6 years of formal mentoring experience across multiple organizational levels
Demonstrated experience mentoring professionals in complex organizational environments
Experience supporting leadership growth and workforce development initiatives
Mentor experience within a federal or state government setting preferred
Formal training, professional development, or certification in mentoring or coaching within area of expertise
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting structured mentor programs within large organizations
Background in leadership development or organizational effectiveness initiatives
Experience working with diverse professional populations and leadership pipelines
Employment Type
1099 Independent Contractor providing non-personal services in accordance with federal contracting requirements
