Avail typically refers to online platforms or services that assist with real estate listings and virtual consultations, often requiring minimal licensing. What are some typical challenges faced by Avail engineers when integrating new functionalities into the platform?

Avail engineers often encounter challenges related to maintaining platform stability while introducing new features, particularly due to the highly modular and decentralized nature of the system. What are Avails in the context of the entertainment industry?

In the entertainment industry, 'Avails' is short for 'availabilities.' It typically refers to the dates and times when an actor, crew member, or other talent is available to work on a project. Casting directors or producers will often ask for an individual's 'avails' before confirming their participation in a production. This process helps coordinate schedules and ensures that all key personnel are available during the necessary shooting or production dates. Avails can also refer to the availability of venues or resources for booking.

Job description

Avail, part of Realtor.com, is a fast-growing platform transforming how independent landlords and tenants manage the rental experience. Built with the spirit of a startup and backed by the scale and stability of a leading digital real estate company, Avail provides a complete suite of tools, resources, and education to help 1M+ landlords manage their properties with confidence and professionalism. As part of the Avail team, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact-shaping the future of this rapidly expanding brand and helping to reimagine the rental industry for millions across the U.S.

We're seeking a Senior Product Manager to shape the next stage of Avail's evolution. You'll partner deeply with design, engineering, data science, marketing, and cross-functional Realtor.com teams to create landlord experiences that are trustworthy, intelligent, and uniquely Avail. If you're driven by big product challenges, energized by the idea of building products that become genuinely indispensable to the people who use them, and inspired by the opportunity to make independent landlords better investors, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do:
  • Product Strategy & Execution: Define and drive consumer product initiatives for Avail, ensuring alignment with company goals and high-growth revenue objectives.
  • Feature Innovation: Lead the development of new features that deepen the value Avail delivers to landlords, helping them manage their properties and grow their portfolios with greater confidence and clarity.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, engineering, data science, finance and marketing to align on roadmaps and ensure the successful execution of high-impact features.
  • Consumer Insights & Data-Driven Decisions: Use landlord feedback, behavioral data, and marketplace signals to shape product priorities and drive thoughtful experimentation.
  • Performance Metrics & KPIs: Define, track, and analyze KPIs to guide continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication: Regularly communicate with Avail and leadership on projects and outcomes, securing support for key initiatives.
How We Work:

We balance creativity and innovation on a foundation of in-person collaboration. For most roles, our employees work three or more days in our offices, where they have the opportunity to collaborate in-person, adding richness to our culture and knitting us closer together.

What You'll Bring:
  • 8+ years of product management experience, primarily in the B2C space. Experience with fintech or other heavily regulated products is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Fluency with LLMs, chat agents, and tools like MCPs to accelerate discovery, draft and stress-test specs, prototype ideas, and pressure-test logic before it reaches engineering.
  • A clear point of view on where AI creates genuine, durable user value (and where it doesn't).
  • Experience embedding AI capabilities inside a product is highly preferred.
  • Deep data-driven mindset with a strong instinct for the metrics that matter, and hands-on experience designing and running product experiments to drive informed decisions.
  • Track record of shipping features that deepen user engagement and achieve financial targets.
  • Ability to navigate complex, constraint-heavy problems, including regulatory, data access, and cross-team dependencies, using sound judgment and data to drive results.
  • Effective partnership with engineers and designers on complex architectural and UX challenges, grounded in a landlord-centered approach informed by user research, market insights, and behavioral data.
  • Leadership and communication that creates confidence in the face of ambiguity.
  • A genuine desire to contribute to and help build a highly inclusive culture.
How We Reward You:

Realtor.com is committed to investing in the health and wellbeing of our employees and their families. Our benefits programs include, but are not limited to:

  • Inclusive and Competitive medical, Rx, dental, and vision coverage
  • Family forming benefits
  • 13 Paid Holidays
  • Flexible Time Off
  • 8 hours of paid Volunteer Time off
  • Immediate eligibility into Company 401(k) plan with 3.5% company match
  • Tuition Reimbursement program for degreed and non-degreed programs
  • 1:1 personalized Financial Planning Sessions
  • Student Debt Retirement Savings Match program
  • Free snacks and refreshments in each office location
