Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently.
  • Utilize DealerTrack DMS for accurate record-keeping and service tracking.
  • Ensure all work meets high-quality standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Monitor repair time and update Service Advisor
  • Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation
  • Repair and replace transmissions, fuel components, and cooling systems.
  • Conduct emissions inspections and state-regulated vehicle examinations.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve vehicle issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of all services and repairs performed.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues and repair timelines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a ASE Certified Service Technician.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of DealerTrack DMS, Xtime.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician.
  • Certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using standard automotive diagnostic software such as:
    • Mitchell1: Comprehensive repair information and management software.
    • ALLDATA: Automotive diagnostic and repair software.
    • Snap-on: Diagnostic tools and software for vehicle repair.
    • AutoEnginuity: Advanced diagnostic software for various vehicle makes and models.
  • Open availability to accommodate our customers' needs.
  • Experience in performing warranty and non-warranty inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair services on various vehicle makes and models
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment, with a solid understanding of automotive systems and components.
  • Additional Skills:
    • Electrical Systems: Ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues in vehicles.
    • Brake Systems: Expertise in inspecting, repairing, and replacing brake systems.
    • Engine Repair: Skilled in diagnosing and repairing engine-related problems.
    • Suspension and Steering: Knowledgeable in maintaining and repairing suspension and steering systems.
    • HVAC Systems: Experience in servicing and repairing vehicle heating and air conditioning systems.
    • Preventative Maintenance: Ability to perform thorough inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
    • Customer Service: Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and ensure their satisfaction.
  • Physical and Mobility Requirements:

    • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
    • Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and reach.
    • Ability to work in various positions, including under vehicles and in tight spaces.
    • Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment.
    • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
