Where You Will Work

What You Will Do

Under general supervision, this role will oversee and coordinate the safe, efficient operation of a designated work unit. Lead cross-functional teams supporting technology and autonomous fleet maintenance. You will ensure procedures are developed and followed to improve fleet reliability and maximize physical availability.

  • Ensure smooth operations of production shifts by executing production plans and schedules 
  • Provide operational input for autonomous fleet maintenance planning 
  • Enforce safety and operating procedures in compliance with federal and state regulations 
  • Inspect work units to ensure goals and schedules are met 
  • Coordinate daily with cross-functional teams including maintenance, engineering, safety, and environmental 
  • Supervise first-line or shift supervisors and manage strategic and execution-level maintenance work 
  • Perform other duties as assigned
What You Bring To Freeport
  • Bachelor’s degree in a mining-related technical discipline and 3+ years of operational experience including supervisory or lead roles; OR
  • High school diploma and 7+ years of related operational experience including supervisory or lead roles
  • Strong knowledge of supervisory methods, safety practices, and hazard recognition
  • Skilled in equipment troubleshooting, budget administration, and effective communication
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience with autonomous mining equipment
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with autonomous systems technology and Caterpillar/mining equipment
  • Experience with Power BI and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

What We Offer You

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $105,000 - $145,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
