At JAM Best One Fleet Service, we are looking for motivated individuals to assist our team during the summer months. This is a great opportunity for students interested in mechanics, diesel technology, agriculture, welding, fabrication, or hands-on careers. No experience required, just a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and positive attitude.


Position Overview


Summer Helpers will assist our technicians and shop teams with entry-level tasks such as:

  • Organizing tools, parts, and shop areas
  • Sweeping and helping keep the shop clean and organized
  • Washing and cleaning vehicles
  • Stocking shelves and sorting inventory
  • Assisting technicians with non-hazardous tasks
  • Mounting and dismounting standard tires using manual tools
  • Operating a tire balancer
  • Learning about the commercial tire and mechanical industry

This position allows incumbents to gain valuable real-world experience while working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in mechanical career school is encouraged but not required
  • Interest in mechanical, automotive, diesel, agricultural, or technical careers is a plus
  • Michigan summer work permit required
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working in a shop environment
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work with tools and equipment throughout the shift
