Job Overview – How You’ll Contribute:

The H+H Group is looking to add an Experienced Automotive Shop Foreman to our Team. In this role you will Mentor and develop our Team of Technicians and Apprentices at our H+H Chevy location in Papillion! You will be responsible for maintaining the efficient communication between the Service Advisor and the Service Technician in order to provide an efficient flow of vehicles through the repair process in order to maximize Customer Satisfaction.

  • Be the mentor for ALL Service Technicians and Apprentices. Be available for Technicians to call on your expertise when they do not understand the problem.
  • Check job status on a regular basis to ensure the job is done in a timely manner and is fixed right the first time on the visit.
  • Road-Test vehicles with Customers when necessary to help determine the problem that a Customer’s vehicle may have.
  • Help to keep a steady flow of work in the Service Shop and administer safety and housekeeping procedures.
  • Be the designated person to handle ALL Comebacks in the Service Shop.
  • Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:30pm with rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications – What You Need to be Successful:

  • Previous experience as a Shop Foreman in a dealership or independent shop is required.
  • Previous experience with Chevrolet as a Master Technician or higher.
  • Must have strong diagnostic skills.
  • A strong desire to grow the team through training and mentoring of younger Technicians and Apprentices.
  • Prior mentoring or leadership experience either formally or informally leading a team, training Technicians and Apprentices, or being a “go-to” Tech.
  • Effective communication skills – able to talk with Technicians, Service Advisors, and Customers.
  • Understanding of warranty processes, repair order documentation, and compliance standards.
  • Time management and ability to prioritize multiple jobs in the shop.
  • Operate motor vehicles with manual and automatic transmissions.
  • The ability to access, input, and retrieve information from computer.
  • Ability to move about the dealership in order to effectively communicate with members of other departments.
