We are currently seeking a Domain AI Expert for Automotive Industry to join our team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

Job Description: Domain AI Specialist – Automotive

Location: United States (Remote)

Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

The Domain AI Specialist – Automotive bridges deep automotive domain expertise with advanced AI, Agentic AI, and autonomous systems. This role deeply understands automotive industry workflows and reimagines them as AI-native and agentic workflows, translating customer reality into scalable product requirements and executive-level transformation narratives.

Automotive Domain & Industry Expertise

· Deep expertise in automotive OEM and Tier-1 workflows spanning product engineering, manufacturing, quality, engineering change, and aftersales.

· Strong knowledge of industry standards and frameworks such as ASPICE, ISO 26262, ISO 21434, IATF 16949, and PPAP/APQP.

· Familiarity with automotive enterprise systems including PLM (Teamcenter, Windchill), MES, ERP (SAP), ALM, and engineering toolchains.

AI, Agentic AI & Workflow Reimagination

· Reimagine traditional automotive workflows using AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, LLMs, and Vision-Language Action Models (VLAMs).

· Design future-state autonomous and semi-autonomous workflows with clear human-in-the-loop guardrails.

· Identify high-value opportunities where agentic systems can plan, reason, decide, and act across automotive processes.

Workflow Visualization & Architecture

· Create visual representations of current-state, AI-assisted, and fully agentic workflows.

· Develop executive-ready architecture diagrams and process views bridging business and technical audiences.

Product Requirements & Customer Translation

· Translate customer-specific automotive requirements into structured, actionable inputs for AI-native product development teams.

· Guide product roadmaps by defining agent behavior, orchestration logic, data needs, and compliance considerations.

Research, Executive Engagement & Deal Support

· Conduct deep research on automotive trends, competitors, customer maturity, and transformation opportunities.

· Author executive-level POVs, vision decks, and opportunity assessments.

· Engage confidently with CEO, CTO, CIO, CDO, and senior engineering leadership.

· Support proposal development, deal solutioning, and effort/value estimation.

· Ability to conduct deep domain specific discovery session during presales and delivery.

Basic Qualifications

· 10+ years of experience in automotive OEM, Tier-1, consulting, or automotive digital transformation roles.

· Strong understanding of automotive product development and manufacturing lifecycles.

· Hands-on experience working with or designing solutions using AI/ML, analytics, or automation technologies.

· Demonstrated ability to translate domain expertise into product-level requirements.

· Executive presence with strong communication, storytelling, and visualization skills.

· Experience supporting proposals, RFPs, deal solutioning, and commercial estimation.

Success Metrics (12–18 Month Horizon)

1. Enable 3–5 reusable automotive agentic workflows adopted across customers or products.

2. Influence core product roadmap decisions with validated automotive domain requirements.

3. Lead or materially contribute to multiple C-suite engagements resulting in qualified pipeline.

4. Support successful deal pursuits with accurate scoping and compelling solution narratives.

5. Be recognized internally and externally as a trusted automotive AI domain authority.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $156,597 - 289,994. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
