Job Purpose
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in the manufacturing of
automotive brake systems. This role involves developing and implementing quality control processes,
conducting rigorous testing and inspections, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous
improvement initiatives. The Quality Engineer will play a critical role in maintaining product integrity, meeting
regulatory requirements and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Role Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and protocols to ensure product quality
and compliance with industry standards.
• Plan, train, communicate, conduct, and participate in detailed inspections and testing of products at
various stages of the manufacturing process to identify defects and deviations from specifications.
• Perform root cause analysis on quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions to
address and mitigate these issues.
• Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, tests, and audits, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate and manage supplier quality performance, conduct audits and working with suppliers to
resolve quality issues.
• Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality,
reducing waste and increasing manufacturing efficiency.
• Generate regular reports on quality performance metrics, issues, and improvement initiatives for
management review.
• Evaluate and manage supplier quality performance, conduct audits and working with suppliers to
resolve quality issues
• Analyze customer feedback and warranty data to identify trends and areas for improvement,
implementing changes to address customer concerns.
• Support the introduction of new products by developing and implementing quality plans, conducting risk
assessments, and ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
Leadership Responsibilities:
• Develops project plans; Coordinates projects; Communicates changes and progress; Completes projects
on time and budget.
Required Competencies:
• Communication: Ability to write and speak with influence, listen attentively, foster open
communication, deliver presentations, and explain technical concepts including technical report writing.
• Collaboration: Cultivate strong relationships across departments and ADVICS locations, foster teamwork

Skills and Qualifications
• Associate's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent and minimum 4 years
of industrial experience
• Strong understanding of quality management systems and methodologies
• Knowledge of tools and techniques used in APQP methodology - PFMEA, Controls plans, PPAP, SPC
• Understanding of ISO/IATF systems
• Ability to investigate root causes of quality problems, collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop
and implement solutions and track the effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Gage R&R knowledge and application
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent
• 5 years of experience within the industry
• Experience with Mini tab
Position Type/Hours
• This is a full-time, exempt position that works primarily Monday-Friday, supporting all shifts as needed.
Working Conditions
• This job operates in a professional office environment and/or manufacturing environment. This role
routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and
fax machines. Frequently the work environment may be loud, requiring hearing protection.
Physical Demands
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to
handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is
frequently required to stand, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, climb,
balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
Travel
• Occasional overnight and international travel required.
