Territory Sales Representative - Foam and Packaging Manufacturer - Base Salary to 65k/year - Indianapolis, IN

  • Our client is an industry leading industrial and protective foam manufacturer serving the food/beverage, medical device, and electronic industries. The team is looking to expand their MidWest territory by adding a Territory Sales Representative to their Indiana team. The Territory Sales Representative will land new sales opportunities and grow the territory by converting leads, generating new business, and managing current clients.
  • In this role, the Territory Sales Representative will operate as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to customers within the specific territory. The Territory Sales Representative will be solely responsible for the team’s Fabricated Foam Packaging division.

Responsibilities:

  • Focus on selling Fabricated Foam and various Molded Foam packaging solutions to e-commerce, electronic, medical device, and other industrial manufactures
  • Develop sales plan & assume ownership of the plan and results
  • Build and actively manage sales funnel
  • Manage the proposal process; price quotes and deliver within established limits
  • Increase sales & prospect new customers
  • Forecast and track key account metrics including sales forecasts, results and annual forecast projections
  • Monitor competition & market trends related to pricing & products
  • Work in conjunction with other departments to solve customer issues
  • Provide support for marketing and communication programs- Trade Shows, Articles, Web & Brochures

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is a plus
  • 4+ years of successful Outside Sales experience ideally selling customizable goods (no catalog selling)
  • Plus for background in plastics, foam, or packaging manufacturing
  • Robust solution selling sales approach
  • Ability to adapt to new sales processes
  • Sandler Selling training is a plus
  • Go-getter, hunter personality
  • Ability to travel (75%) within specific territory (IN, IL, MI, OH, KY) with occasional overnight
  • Must be able to go to Georgia for initial 5 week training

Compensation:

  • Compensation for this role includes a base salary up to 65k/year plus uncapped commission. Our client also offers a car allowance, guaranteed commission for the first 6 months, and a comprehensive benefits package.
