Job Summary
Are you ready to take the next big step in your automotive industry career? Our high-volume automotive service group is seeking a full-time Automotive General Manager to oversee and motivate our talented team of professionals.
The ideal candidate for this position should have a track record of successful management positions with at least three years of experience, and a strong desire to succeed with integrity.
You will oversee daily operations of three locations and assist sales and service managers in setting big but realistic goals. Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations, remedy customer complaints promptly, and ensure customer satisfaction metrics are met
  • Recruit, hire, and train service managers, store managers, and technicians to meet profit levels
  • Assist with the creation of affordable advertising campaigns and programs to increase sales and brand visibility for the organization
  • Conduct manager meetings and establish good working relationships with owners, managers, and staff to establish sales processes and recommend daily unit sales
  • Implement growth strategies that align with automotive group objectives by carefully assessing profit and loss while maintaining inventory that meets the needs of the local market
  • Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for accuracy and completion before sharing them with upper management
  • Learn and uphold all local, state, and federal regulations impacting vehicle service, and the automotive industry as a whole
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree is preferred but not required; a high school diploma or GED equivalent needed
  • Three or more years of experience in a sales manager or general manager position for a dealership or auto group is necessary
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry and trends
  • Possess a state-issued drivers license and acceptable driving record to operate dealership-owned vehicles
  • Strong communication skills; a track record of leadership; and the ability to interpret profit and loss statements are necessary for success
