Job description

Amentum is currently seeking a motivated, experienced Program Manager to support a mission-critical logistics program in northern Virginia. This individual will provide strategic oversight, operational leadership, and customer engagement to ensure successful program execution in alignment with contract requirements and organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will bring demonstrated experience managing complex logistics operations within a government or intelligence community environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage dynamic government logistics programs focusing on Automotive Operation & Maintenance, Dispatch, Warehouse Operation, and Inventory Management.
  • Lead program activities to align with budget, schedule, contract requirements, Statement of Work (SOW), and technical specifications.
  • Organize and direct staff, resources, and tools for successful training delivery, including leadership and team building to motivate instructors.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication systems within the team and with external entities, ensuring alignment and integration of program activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate communication and optimize program performance, resolving conflicts and addressing challenges as they arise.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and subcontractors, assisting in resource management, including personnel, budget, and equipment.
  • Coordinate resource allocation and monitor availability to optimize program efficiency and effectiveness, proactively addressing any resource constraints.
  • Engage strategically with customers and stakeholders, facilitating regular updates and presentations to ensure program alignment and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Support risk management by identifying, assessing, and mitigating program risks, developing contingency plans, and escalating significant risks to senior leadership.
  • Proactively manage and clarify customer and stakeholder expectations with consistent and transparent communication.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience managing government logistics programs with 200+ employees.
  • A degree can be substituted for 15 years of experience within a Warehouse Logistics environment.
  • Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
