  Responsibilities Sales Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Automotive Sales Consultants and BDC Representatives
  • Desk deals and structure transactions to maximize profitability while maintaining an outstanding customer experience
  • Set daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals
  • Monitor individual and departmental performance using key sales metrics and KPIs
  • Drive accountability through coaching, follow-up, and performance management
  • Conduct daily sales meetings, one-on-one coaching sessions, and ongoing training
 Sales Operations
  • Monitor showroom traffic, internet leads, phone opportunities, and appointment activity
  • Improve lead response times, appointment show rates, closing percentages, and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure CRM activities, customer follow-up, and pipeline management meet dealership standards
  • Partner closely with the Finance Department to improve deal flow and maximize profitability
  • Work with Sales Consultants throughout the sales process to overcome objections and close deals
  • Ensure compliance with dealership policies and manufacturer standards
 Inventory Management
  • Collaborate with dealership leadership to maintain an optimal new and pre-owned inventory mix
  • Monitor inventory aging and pricing strategies
  • Assist with vehicle appraisals, trade evaluations, merchandising, and inventory turn
  • Forecast monthly sales performance and implement action plans to achieve dealership objectives
 Team Development
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard top sales talent
  • Mentor and develop future sales leaders within the dealership
  • Foster a culture built on professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and exceptional customer service
  • Lead by example while maintaining a positive, performance-driven work environment
  Qualifications
  • 3+ years of Automotive Dealership Sales Management experience required
  • Previous experience as an Automotive Sales Manager, Desk Manager, General Sales Manager (GSM), Finance Manager, or Used Car Manager preferred
  • Proven record of increasing sales volume, profitability, and customer satisfaction
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
  • Experience desking deals and managing dealership sales operations
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems, internet lead management, and dealership software
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Results-driven with the ability to analyze sales metrics and implement improvement strategies
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
