Position Title:ย Automotive Product Support

Locationย :ย Remote - California

Anticipated Startย Date: Aug 2026

Duration: 8 months contract with Extension

Shift: 40hrs /week

Pay Rate: $53.00/hour (W2)

Need: Minimum 8 years of automotive service industry experience with current ASE A1โ€“A8 certifications (L1 preferred), strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, OEM warranty processes, Lemon Law, TREAD Act, litigation/arbitration, technical report writing, and customer-facing communication; proficient in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel; able to evaluate cases on technical merit, work independently, travel as required, and possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology, Business, or a related field (or an Associate's degree with 10 years of relevant experience).

Automotive Product Support Specialist

A Tier One supplier is looking for Automotive Product Support Specialists. This position requires an automotive technical background including litigation and arbitration experience, along with a strong working knowledge of automotive vehicle systems.

This position is responsible for gathering case details, performing thorough vehicle inspections, researching vehicle history, insurance claims, and/or repairs in support of product litigation cases and lemon law claims.

The ideal candidate will have Dealership or Independent Service Center Technician, Service Engineering, and/or Service Management experience.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities

  • Be the vehicle and product subject matter expert for an OEM customer.
  • Document vehicle condition via service history records, maintenance, aftermarket equipment, and on-vehicle inspections in support of lemon law/arbitration.
  • Generate and upload technical vehicle reports in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain knowledge of customer's vehicle product lines and systems.
  • Demonstrate hands-on vehicle expertise and knowledge in an automotive service department setting.
  • Take appropriate, clear photos of vehicle(s) and/or parts, as needed.
  • Participate in arbitration and litigation of cases related to lemon law claims.
  • Adhere to service level agreements for assigned cases.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 8 years related automotive service industry experience.
  • Current ASE certifications A1โ€“A8, with L1 a plus.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic test equipment (set up, instrumentation, OEM scan tool, DMM, etc.).
  • Excellent oral communication skills, including demonstrated face-to-face customer interaction.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with the TREAD Act, Lemon Law, litigation, and arbitration.
  • Ability to act as a subject matter expert for trials and depositions.
  • Experience writing detailed technical reports and report generation expertise.
  • Experience and professionalism in interfacing with claimants, courts, and legal counsel.
  • Evaluates cases on technical merit.
  • Experience with warranty process and procedures for automotive OEMs.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to transfer and upload case documents.
  • Flexibility for local and/or overnight travel.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in automotive technical school, business, or related field.
  • 10 years of relevant work experience with an Associate's degree in Applied Science may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

Work Environment

Work is performed in dealership service departments, parking lots (holding areas), and/or shop bay settings. The work environment may involve exposure to various weather conditions, automotive fumes, fluids, noise, odors, sharp edges, and bump hazards that require continuous use of personal protective equipment.

Work may involve standing, sitting, walking (on even and uneven surfaces), occasional lifting (overhead and waist level) from the floor, bending, and frequent near-vision use for reading and computer work.

Travel Required

  • Yes, within your assigned geographic area.
  • Up to 80% travel required.
