Job description

Parts Manager

Mills Auto Group is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Parts Manager to join our team in the Raleigh, North Carolina area. This is a full-time position with a base salary plus a commission structure in the auto industry. As a Parts Manager, you will oversee the purchasing, inventory management, sales, and profitability of the parts department. This role is an individual contributor position and requires a strong leader who can effectively manage a team and drive results.

Compensation for this position is $70,000 to $110,000 per year, paid semi-monthly. In addition to a competitive salary, we also offer a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement within the company.

Responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the parts department, including purchasing, inventory management, sales, and profitability; establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors and negotiating pricing and terms to ensure the best value for the company; developing and implementing strategies to increase parts sales and profitability; monitoring and analyzing sales and inventory data to identify trends and make informed purchasing decisions; training and mentoring parts department staff to provide excellent customer service and achieve sales goals; ensuring proper inventory levels and efficient stocking practices to meet the needs of the service department and retail customers; maintaining a clean and organized parts department in accordance with company standards; collaborating with other department managers to identify opportunities for cross-selling and improving overall business performance; developing and enforcing policies and procedures for the parts department to ensure compliance with company and industry standards; managing and resolving customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner; regularly reviewing and updating pricing strategies to remain competitive in the market; and monitoring and maintaining accurate parts and labor sales records for reporting and analysis purposes.
