Store Counter Sales Representative

As a Store Counter Sales Representative, you’ll be an important part of our sales team, helping collision centers, body shops, dealerships, and other automotive professionals find the paint, refinishing products, supplies, and equipment they need to get the job done right.

What You’ll Do
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with professional customers, including body shops, collision centers, dealerships, and automotive repair businesses
  • Provide knowledgeable, friendly service and help customers select the right automotive paint, refinishing products, supplies, and equipment for their needs
  • Drive sales by understanding customer needs, recommending products, identifying additional opportunities, and promoting current products and promotions
  • Assist customers with paint and refinishing product questions and help them find solutions for their specific applications
  • Mix and prepare automotive paint accurately according to customer and product specifications
  • Answer customer calls, take orders, provide product information, and identify opportunities to increase sales
  • Use product catalogs, computer systems, and manufacturer resources to research products and provide accurate recommendations
  • Follow up with customers and build relationships that encourage repeat business and continued growth
  • Process sales transactions, returns, and customer concerns while following company policies and procedures
  • Coordinate with outside sales representatives and other team members to provide a seamless customer experience
  • Help maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, freight receiving, product organization, and label maintenance
  • Assist with deliveries and pickups when needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and professional store environment
  • Stay current on products, promotions, industry trends, and new refinishing technologies
What We’re Looking For
  • Customer-focused, outgoing, and motivated personality with a desire to sell and grow the business
  • Automotive refinishing, collision repair, automotive parts, or related industry experience preferred
  • Previous sales or customer service experience preferred
  • Paint mixing or automotive paint experience is a plus, but training is available for the right candidate
  • Ability to learn automotive paint systems, products, and refinishing processes
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable talking with professional customers and making product recommendations
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
