Job description

Weโ€™re seeking skilled technicians to join our network as independent contractors specializing in fleet automotive electronics installations. This work includes installing, troubleshooting, and repairing GPS trackers, dash cameras, and other fleet telematics systems in a variety of vehiclesโ€”primarily cars, trucks, and semis.

This opportunity is strictly 1099 independent contractor work โ€” not a W-2 employment position. Contractors maintain control over their schedules and accept assignments based on availability. We have work available in your area which involves traveling to customer locations to complete professional mobile electronics installations with quality workmanship and strong customer service.

Compensation is competitive and paid per completed job. Weโ€™re seeking reliable, detail-oriented technicians with experience in low-voltage vehicle installations who operate as independent contractors.


Scope of Work:

ยทPerform installation and configuration of aftermarket automotive electronics, including GPS trackers, dash cameras, remote start systems, and other fleet telematics devices.

ยทDeliver high-quality workmanship from start to finish to support customer satisfaction.

ยทMaintain accurate documentation for each completed job and ensure installations meet project specifications and fleet system requirements.

ยทCommunicate professionally with customers at job sites.

ยทUtilize DRIGโ€™s systems to access job details, upload required documentation, and manage accepted jobs.

ยทFollow applicable safety and compliance standards to reduce return visits and ensure proper installation quality.

ยทAs part of DRIGโ€™s quality assurance process, contractors are required to coordinate with DRIGโ€™s Quality Control team at the start of each job to review project scope, specifications, and quality expectations.


RequirementsMinimum Qualifications:
  • Experience installing aftermarket automotive electronics in vehicles, including GPS trackers, dash cameras, car audio systems, remote starts, alarms, and vehicle lighting.
  • Solid understanding of 12-volt vehicle wiring.
  • Ability to supply your own tools and materials necessary to complete professional installations.
  • Reliable vehicle to travel to customer locations as needed.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Smartphone or tablet to access job details, submit documentation, verify installations, and communicate as needed.
  • MECP certification is a plus, but not required.
  • Contractors must be able to pass a background and drug screening.
