  • This is a Monday-Friday position with the shift of 7:00 am - 3:30 pm with opportunity of daily and weekend overtime!

Summary of Position:

As an Accessory II Installer you will be responsible for executing medium-level vehicle installations of various factory accessories such as, but not limited to, floor mats, first aid kits, booklets, labels, trailer hitches, remote starts, spoilers, DVD, fog lights, side steps, navigation systems, roof racks, park assist, etc.


Essential Functions, Duties, and Tasks:

  1. ​Conduct PDI process as designated.
  2. Coordinate defective parts with Lead or designated party.
  3. Drive and park car in designated working areas, may drive cars up car ramps for preparation of accessory placement or application of decals or through roof rack station or through mechanical pit
  4. Ensure accessories are installed on designated units.
  5. Follow safety guidelines and attend safety meetings.
  6. Inspect finished products being processed incoming materials, parts, and assemblies, etc., for conformance to company standards.
  7. Insure accessories are installed on designated units.
  8. Keep Leads, Managers and others informed of significant issues.
  9. Knowledge and application of Accessory II installation and processes.
  10. Knowledge of and perform installation of various light to medium accessories using hand tools and power tools.
  11. Lay out and assemble accessory parts.
  12. Log processed work into computer program or tracking system as required.
  13. Meet or exceed established production and quality standards.
  14. Performs job in a safe manner.
  15. Read accessory instructions to insure that all correct accessories are installed according to correct specifications and working properly, knowledge of accessory installations.
  16. Responsible for installation of various factory accessories, using a variety of air, power, and hand tools.
  17. Select proper units to be accessorized as directed by Lead.
  18. Train others associates on installations.
  19. Use various tools to do mechanical repairs or installations on various factory installs.
  20. Visually verifies that vehicle is damage free.
  21. Work as part of a team.
  22. Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
  23. Attend meetings as required.
  24. Daily clean up.
  25. Keep tools maintained and secure.
  26. May remove wrap guard from vehicle exterior.
  27. Notify supervisor of any workplace hazards or unsafe conditions.
  28. Participate in facility safety efforts by attending monthly safety meetings, report accidents and injuries on appropriate forms, and communicates the procedure to all appropriate customers/vendors and AWC personnel.
  29. Read, understand, and utilize VIN numbers, repair orders, purchase orders, purge sheets, and other documents to complete work.
  30. Understand policies, including but not limited to company safety policies.
  31. Upkeep and maintenance of work area.
  32. Work with limited supervision.
  33. Other duties assigned.
