Auto Accessory Installer - Base Pay + Production Incentive
Company: Road & Rail Services
Job Type: Full-time, on-site
Compensation: Guaranteed base hourly pay plus production incentive earnings
Location: Lincoln, AL
Schedule: 1st and 2nd shift available

Road & Rail Services is hiring mechanically inclined Auto Accessory Installers to install accessories and components on newly manufactured vehicles.
This position offers more than a standard hourly wage. You will receive a guaranteed base rate of pay, with the opportunity to earn additional production incentive pay. Your total earnings are influenced by your productivity while continuing to meet all safety and quality requirements.
The more efficiently you complete accurate, quality installations, the greater your earning potential. Employees must never sacrifice safety or workmanship to increase production.
How Your Pay Works
Receive a guaranteed base hourly wage.
Earn additional incentive pay based on qualifying production.
Increase your total earnings through consistent, efficient performance.
Maintain required safety and quality standards on every installation.
Specific incentive calculations and eligibility requirements will be reviewed during the hiring process.
What You'll Do
Install approved automotive accessories on new vehicles.
Review work orders, accessory codes, and part numbers before beginning each installation.
Inspect vehicles and parts for visible damage or quality concerns.
Follow written installation procedures and customer specifications.
Complete post-installation inspections to confirm proper fit and operation.
Document each completed installation and accept accountability for work quality.
Safely use hand tools, torque wrenches, and light power tools.
Report safety, quality, equipment, or material concerns promptly.
Operate automatic and manual-transmission vehicles when required.
Keep tools organized and work areas free of debris.
Follow all company, customer, and facility safety procedures.
What We're Looking For
Mechanical ability and an interest in hands-on automotive work.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and complete installations accurately.
Strong attention to quality and vehicle condition.
Motivation to work efficiently in a production-based environment.
Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
Automotive lift experience is preferred but not required.
Valid state-issued driver's license required when operating vehicles or company equipment.
Physical and Work Requirements
Work indoors and outdoors in heat, cold, dust, noise, and changing weather.
Stand and walk for extended periods, including up to approximately five miles per shift.
Frequently bend, kneel, twist, reach, and enter or exit vehicles.
Walk safely on uneven surfaces and a moving assembly-line belt.
Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds, and rarely up to 75 pounds.
Push or pull with up to 100 pounds of force.
Read Vehicle Identification Numbers, work orders, and related documents.
Hear and understand verbal work and safety instructions.
Wear all required personal protective equipment.
Perform the position's essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
