Assistant Controller – Lost Pines Toyota

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to support the financial operations of a busy automotive dealership. This role works closely with the Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and efficient accounting processes across all departments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports
  • Reconcile schedules, accounts, and bank statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Review and process vehicle deals for proper accounting treatment and compliance
  • Monitor internal controls and assist in implementing process improvements
  • Support payroll processing and ensure accuracy of employee records and payments
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and federal, state, and local regulations
  • Collaborate with department managers to resolve discrepancies and improve financial processes
  • Provide support during audits and assist with required documentation

Requirements

Education and/or Experience
