Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Dealership Controller to oversee all financial operations and accounting functions. The ideal candidate will be a strategic partner to the General Manager, providing the financial insights and internal controls necessary to drive profitability and ensure the long-term health of the dealership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate monthly financial statements to the manufacturer in accordance with dealership standards and deadlines.
  • Accounting Oversight: Manage all aspects of the accounting office, including accounts receivable/payable, payroll, inventory management, and tax compliance.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor daily cash flow, manage floor plan reconciliations, and oversee bank relationships.
  • Internal Controls: Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard dealership assets and ensure "clean" audits.
  • Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with Department Managers (Sales, Service, Parts) to review financial performance, analyze expenses, and identify opportunities for increased efficiency.
  • Compliance: Ensure the dealership is in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including sales tax and privacy laws.
