Job Description

Experienced Automotive Sales Consultant

Build Relationships. Work with Autonomy. Earn at a High Level.

$10,000 Signing Bonus

Paid in four equal quarterly installments of $2,500 during your first year of employment.

Dave Gill Chevrolet is seeking experienced automotive sales professionals who want more than just another dealership job.

Our new Chevrolet sales volume increased 30% last year, and we are expanding our team to continue that momentum in 2026.

If you're an experienced consultant who wants more autonomy, a better environment, and the opportunity to build long-term customer relationships, we would love to meet you.

A Different Kind of Automotive Career

Are you tired of selling your time for money while doing work that doesn’t inspire you?

What if you could build something meaningful — create real relationships, use your creativity, and work with autonomy — all while earning at a high level?

We’re not looking for transactional salespeople. We’re building trusted advisors.

You won’t be micromanaged. Instead, you’ll have the freedom to spend your time in self-directed activities that align with our mission — creating exceptional experiences and building long-term customer relationships.

If you’re entrepreneurial, disciplined, and people-focused, this environment will unlock your potential.

What You'll Do

The Automotive Consultant is responsible for creating a world-class experience for every guest who visits our showroom — both in person and online.

Our consultants act as knowledgeable advisors who help customers navigate vehicle selection, performance, accessories, efficiency, safety, and features.

Responsibilities include:

  • Presenting new and pre-owned vehicles in an engaging, informative, and professional manner
  • Building trust and long-term relationships with customers
  • Guiding guests through the vehicle selection and purchase process
  • Communicating with customers both in person and digitally

Consultants with social media and digital communication experience are highly desirable. Automotive Consultants are encouraged to develop and manage their own professional online presence to connect with customers, promote inventory, and build a personal brand.

Self-directed marketing efforts are both expected and rewarded, providing motivated professionals additional opportunities for growth and success.

Candidates for This Position Must Be Able To

  • Make personal connections with our guests
  • Work quickly and efficiently
  • Communicate with a smile
  • Speak and dress professionally
  • Work for our guests until the job is complete

Compensation

Dave Gill Chevrolet offers one of the most competitive and progressive pay plans in the Columbus area.

Experienced Automotive Consultants receive:

  • $10,000 signing bonus (paid quarterly during the first year)
  • Competitive compensation with strong earning potential

Our compensation structure is designed to reward professionals who focus on building relationships, creating exceptional customer experiences, and developing a loyal client base.

Benefits

  • Extensive training and support
  • Health insurance and 401(k)
  • A fun, professional work environment
  • A manageable 5-day work week
  • The opportunity to build a long-lasting, rewarding, high-income career
  • The opportunity to sell Chevrolet cars, trucks, EVs, and SUVs — America’s best lineup of vehicles

We are excited that you have chosen to apply for this very important position on our team. We look forward to getting to know you better.
