Position Overview

The Automotive Biller / DMV Clerk is responsible for processing dealership transactions accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all state DMV regulations and dealership policies.

This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and experience working with vehicle billing, registration, title processing, funding packages, and dealership accounting procedures.

The position also includes front desk coverage on Saturdays.


Key ResponsibilitiesAutomotive Billing & Deal Processing
  • Process all new and used vehicle retail deals accurately and timely

  • Process wholesale transactions and dealer trades (swaps)

  • Review deal jackets for completeness and compliance

  • Package funding contracts and maintain deal logs for accounting

  • Post wholesale deals within required timelines

  • Process manufacturer rebates and incentives

  • Handle NVDR and RDR vehicle processing

DMV & Title Processing
  • Process DMV paperwork within required state guidelines and deadlines

  • Maintain accurate police books, plate books, and in-transit records in accordance with New York State regulations

  • Maintain detailed DMV logs and document tracking systems

  • Submit registration and title documentation accurately and on time

  • Coordinate DMV refunds and related accounting requests

  • Ensure all required documentation is complete prior to releasing DMV paperwork

Inventory & Administrative Support
  • Stock new and used vehicle inventory

  • Enter information into dealership systems including VERIFY and DMS platforms

  • Assist management with DMV compliance procedures and dealership processes

  • Provide front desk and receptionist coverage on Saturdays

  • Support accounting and administrative teams as needed
