Warehouse Supervisor

Lightship

Broomfield, CO โ€ข On-site

Full-time

Job description

Overview
Lightship is the first American all-electric recreational vehicle manufacturer currently developing an aerodynamic, battery-powered trailer for the electric age. As the macro transition to an all-electric transportation ecosystem accelerates, Lightship is bringing the increased convenience and superior performance that electrification offers to a pastime enjoyed by over 11 million American families.

Honoring Diverse Perspectives
Lightship is committed to hiring and developing top talent from diverse backgrounds. We believe representing and supporting diverse groups is key to the success of our team members, customers, shareholders and the achievement of our mission and vision. We operate in a collaborative environment with a flat organizational structure and expect a high degree of integrity, autonomy and creativity from all members of the team.

About the Role
At Lightship, we are building a company to allow more people to connect with nature and each other. We are doing this by bringing the first purpose-built, aerodynamic, battery-electric travel trailer to market.
To support our production goals, we need a Warehouse Supervisor to establish and maintain an efficient, reliable material flow. You will manage the movement of inventory throughout our facility—from the receiving dock to the assembly line—ensuring that our production team has the right parts at the right time to meet our build schedules.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a supervisor who values efficiency, process, and creative problem-solving. We are a growing startup, not a legacy giant. This means we cannot always rely on expensive, pre-packaged solutions. We need a leader who can look at our current scale and design processes that are efficient, effective, and "right-sized" for our specific stage of growth. You will use your creativity to solve logistical challenges with the resources at hand, ensuring we remain agile without over-complicating our operations.
Responsibilities
  • Manage Operations: You will oversee the day-to-day functions of receiving, warehousing, and line-side delivery. You ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Champion Safety: You will lead by example to maintain a safe work environment. You will conduct safety stand-ups, enforce forklift protocols, and ensure the team adheres to all safety guidelines.
  • Maintain Inventory Integrity: You are responsible for the accuracy of our stock. You will execute regular cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and ensure our digital records in the ERP align with the physical inventory.
  • Drive Creative Continuous Improvement: You will consistently evaluate our workflows to identify inefficiencies. You will implement Lean methodologies (5S, Kaizen) not just by following a textbook, but by creatively adapting them to fit our floor plan and production volume.
  • Implement Scalable Solutions: You will find the balance between chaos and bureaucracy. You will implement processes that solve today’s problems without over-engineering them, ensuring our systems can grow as we do.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Continuous Improvement Experience: A proven track record of driving process improvements is essential. You must be able to share examples of how you identified an inefficiency and implemented a creative solution (e.g., 5S implementation, layout changes, waste reduction)
  • Experience: 5+ years in warehouse or logistics operations, with specific experience in manufacturing or automotive environments.
  • Leadership: Proven experience supervising operational teams (Material Handlers, Shipping/Receiving clerks).
  • Office Proficiency: Must be well-versed in standard office suites (Microsoft Office or Google G-Suite). You should be comfortable using spreadsheets for reporting, creating documents for SOPs, and managing email communication efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and/or Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP). NetSuite experience is a strong plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree
Equity
  • Lightship compensation consists of the yearly salary above plus equity, which gives you a stake in the company.
Employee Benefits & Philosophy - Applies to Full Time Employees only
- Healthcare, Dental, Vision
- 401k
- Flexible Paid Time Off - that we actually want you to use!
- 13 Company Holidays: 8 throughout the year + the company observes a week of scheduled downtime during the end of the year, allowing all employees to enjoy a break
- 12 weeks paid parental leave
- Yearly LightTrip stipend for an RV trip &/or professional development opportunities

Lightship offers all of its full time employees and their dependents full benefits including health, dental and vision insurance. We are on a mission to create a more healthful all-electric experience for a pastime that millions of families enjoy and believe strongly that our team should not have to worry about quality healthcare for themselves or their loved ones along the way.

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
