Base Pay Range: $24.00–$28.00 per hour
Estimated Total Compensation: $64,000–$90,000 annually (includes base pay and average commission. Actual earnings may vary based on performance)

Job Summary:

The Automotive Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and servicing aftermarket automotive components on trucks, Jeeps, and SUVs. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship while delivering an excellent customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and service suspensions, alignments, gears, and wheel and tire assemblies according to company and manufacturer standards
  • Install accessories (bumpers, lights, winches, and more)
  • Perform vehicle alignments using Hunter Hawkeye alignment equipment
  • Inspect completed repairs and installations to ensure quality and vehicle readiness for return to service while maintaining accurate records
  • Communicate professionally and clearly with internal team members and customers when needed
  • Navigate shop systems and accurately document work orders, including alignment machines, balancers, and TPMS tools
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and develop professional skills 
  • Understand and adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety, and environmental rules
  • Use appropriate PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and additional protection as necessary 
  • Maintain shop cleanliness and appearance to uphold a safe and secure work environment
  • Work with your team to provide excellent customer service 


Qualifications:

  • Experience installing aftermarket accessories for trucks and Jeeps
  • Experience with mount and balance, suspension components, and accessory installations
  • Must possess your own set of professional tools
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., independently, and 100 lbs. with team assistance  
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and work orders 
  • Ability to work scheduled store hours at the assigned location


Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and motor vehicle record review.


Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):


  • Proficiency in truck and Jeep minor suspension kits, brakes, general suspension repair, and intermediate installation of accessories
  • Displays expertise in IFS, straight axle suspension, alignments, and advanced installation of Jeep and Truck accessories, including wiring lighting accessories, winches, and power steps
  • Demonstrates skills in suspension types, electrical work, alignments, and welding
  • Proficient in replacing ball joints, steering racks, pitman and idler arms, tie-rod ends
  • Knowledgeable in ring and pinions, axle builds, and drive trains
  • ASE Certifications


Work Environment:

  • Retail store service department
  • Automotive garage with concrete floors, industrial structure, vehicle lifts, workbenches/workstations, stationary and moving vehicles and other automotive workshop facility machinery
  • Work includes movement around vehicles, working in various physical positions including balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and lifting, and the safe operation of power tools and test equipment. May be exposed to loud noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other service and repair conditions

Compensation is based on multiple individualized factors including retail location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges based on a 40-hour work week.
