Job Summary:
As a Rental Counter clerk at Danvers Ford, you'll be the friendly face customers meet when renting a vehicles. You'll handle reservations, process rental agreements, and ensure a smooth, professional experience from start to finish. This role blends customer service, administrative precision, and a love for cars.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet customer and assist with vehicle inquiries
  • Process rental agreements and verify documentation
  • Explain rental terms, insurance options and vehicle features
  • Coordinate vehicle availability and ensure timely pick-up and return
  • Inspect vehicles for damage before and after rental periods
  • Maintain accurate records and update rental management systems
  • Handle payments, deposits and resolve billing issues
  • Collaborate with service and sales departments for vehicle coordination
  • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve complaints professionally
  • Ensure vehicles are full of gas and clean for customers
  • This is a 40hr/week full time role
  • Consistent attendance and strong time management skills

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree is a plus)
  • Previous experience in customer service, automotive, or rental industry preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with rental software
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass drug and background check
