Summary
Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc., the makers of YellaWood Pressure-Treated Pine, is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and a full benefits package.
Essential Duties:
• Move vehicles, fetch parts, handle inventory, and assist with, or perform under supervision, oil changes, lubrication, and tire repairs.
• Assist with logging maintenance, repair records, and inventory use.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including cleaning tools, equipment, and floors.
• Assist in dismantling, repairing, and assembling equipment, engines, and parts, including brake pads, hoses, belts, and batteries.
• Ensure safety by following all company policies, including safety rules, procedures, and Lock-out / Tag-out procedures,
• Complete all assigned work orders within the time allotted. Maintain complete records of work performed using software, work orders, and detailed logs and have good communication skills across all groups/departments.
Education and/or Experience:
• Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy machinery, tools, and parts (often 20-100 lbs)
• Basic understanding of tools, machinery, and automotive systems.
• Punctuality, reliability, and a strong desire to learn new skills.
