Tonkin Hillsboro Ford has a wonderful opening for anyone in the automotive industry who is looking for an awesome place to work! We have big things in store for this year, and now is the best time to join! We are actively seeking out multiple Automotive Technicians to join our Service Team. We have plenty of work and billable hours! Working as our Automotive Technician/Mechanic, your main responsibility would be diagnosing and repairing our clients’ vehicles to manufacturer specifications. The ideal candidate would have prior automotive repair experience and a great work ethic.

Automotive Technician Job Responsibilities

  • Diagnose automotive problems as they arise.
  • Conducting inspections, repairing engine failures, repairing mechanical and electrical systems, and replacing parts.
  • Comply with manufacturer specifications throughout the repair/servicing process.
  • Mentor and help other technicians on the Service Team.

Automotive Technician Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience prior automotive experience.
  • ASE Certifications are preferred but not required.
  • Personal Tools.
  • Driver’s License

Corporate hiring requirements: 18 years or older with a clean driving record, valid driver's license, ability to pass criminal background, and drug screen.
