About Us

We are a full-service HVAC, building automation, chiller, and retrofit contractor with a reputation for combining high-quality consulting services with customized energy solutions. Our integrated, single-source solutions include turnkey in-house capabilities with design assistance, as well as engineering applications and automated control systems.

Job Summary

The Automation Technician III will inspect, test, adjust and repair new or existing electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic automation devices, and systems. It will also diagnose the cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and perform preventative and corrective maintenance. Automation Technician III will also be responsible for coaching and mentoring other automation technicians.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Understand the design and intent of mechanical equipment and systems (Chiller, Boiler, Custom AHU's, Primary/Secondary pumping, Variable flow Chilled water plants, Clean Room Applications, Demand Response, and Energy solutions). Analyze systems and develop scope of work for controls implementation. Monitor, identify and diagnose potential problems using computer workstations and on-site observations. Interface with the installation or maintenance team members to execute installations, repairs or modifications of controlled systems and equipment. Give technical presentations on building automation, controls, and emerging technology. Able to locate defective or non-operational components in new and existing systems, using test equipment and programming knowledge.

Qualifications

Minimum eight (8) years of direct automation experience with control systems and programing required. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent field experience. Working knowledge of at least three HVAC controls systems (preferably Delta, JCI or Andover) Ability to interface with customers at a supervisory and management level. Engineering skills required include knowledge of electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and computer programming. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with control system architecture design, programing, or maintenance desired. Good computer skills, understanding of controls networking. A valid driver's license.
