Position : QA Analyst (Automation & Manual)
Location : Chicago, IL (Onsite)
Term : C2C/W2/Full Time Role
Duration : Long Term
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled QA Analyst with strong experience in both Manual and Automation Testing. The candidate will be responsible for validating web and API applications, creating automation frameworks, identifying defects, and ensuring high-quality software delivery in Agile environments.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in test planning, test execution, automation scripting, regression testing, and defect tracking.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze business and functional requirements.
  • Prepare detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
  • Perform Manual Testing for web, mobile, and API applications.
  • Develop and maintain Automation Test Scripts using Selenium/TestNG/Cypress or similar tools.
  • Execute Smoke, Functional, Regression, Integration, and UAT testing.
  • Perform API testing using tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
  • Identify, log, track, and retest defects using Jira or similar defect management tools.
  • Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
  • Maintain QA documentation and testing reports.
  • Ensure software quality standards and release readiness.

Required Skills
Must Have
  • 7+ years of QA Testing experience.
  • Strong experience in Manual Testing.
  • Hands-on experience in Automation Testing using Selenium WebDriver/Cypress.
  • Experience with Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience in API Testing using Postman or Rest Assured.
  • Good understanding of SDLC & STLC.
  • Experience with Jira or defect tracking tools.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills.

Good to Have
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins/GitHub Actions.
  • Exposure to Performance Testing tools like JMeter.
  • Database testing using SQL.
  • Experience in BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
  • Cloud testing exposure (AWS/Azure).

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Relevant QA/Automation certifications are a plus.
