As theSoftware Team Lead for Warehouse Execution Systems (WES)atMujin, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical leadership and management support to a focusedR&Dteamdeveloping innovative software solutions.Team Leads are a vital part of the product development organization and lead software development for critical components of theMujinsystem. The role collaborates with other colleagues and stakeholderstosuccessfullylaunchMujinproducts, while also providing remote and onsite support.

Your teams mission is advancing state-of-the-art for scheduling andcontrolling automation assets on an industrial floor. You will developcutting-edgerobotics technology, including the design, development, testing, and implementation of execution and scheduling algorithms that run on multiple robots in real-time and perform order fulfillment. Our applications are performance-critical and involve autonomous interactions with the surrounding world in an uncontrolled environment. You will build, test, and deploy your work in simulation and in the real world on the worlds most advanced hardware. You will contribute to the development of ambitious high-impact projects as part of a dedicated team of world-class Mujineers.

Position Description:

  • Support 4-8 individual contributors from earlycareerthrough senior level.
  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable WES architectures for real-time decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Develop orchestration logic for inventory flow and order prioritization across automation layers.
  • Build APIs and integration layers for Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and automation platforms.
  • Optimize algorithms for throughput and task scheduling in lifelong and online domains.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless system interoperability.
  • Review code and provide developers with constructive feedback to drive continuous improvements in quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in deployed systems.
  • Instill discipline and quality-first culture fortimelydelivery and exceptional user experience.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching, and teamcommunications;andfacilitatecareer path planning.
  • Other duties as required.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelorsin Robotics, Engineering, ComputerScienceor equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in software-driven product development for industrial automation, robotics, or similar industry.
  • 3+ years of team leadership and management experience, along withadvancedprogramming skills in C++ and Python.
  • Expertisein distributed systems, orchestration logic, and real-time execution monitoring.
  • Experience integrating complex technology involving electromechanical devices and software ecosystems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters or PhD in Robotics, Engineering, ComputerScienceor equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in software-driven product development for industrial automation, robotics, or similar industry.
  • 5+ years of team leadership and management experience.
  • Background in warehouse execution systems or solving large-scale scheduling problems.
  • Experience with real-time systems.
