Job description

TRC is hiring a AGV Robotics Technician - Athens, GA

$28.05 - $35.09 Per Hour

We are seeking an AGV Robot Technician to support automated material handling and robotic systems within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving AGV systems, robotics, ASRS technologies, and related automation equipment to support operational efficiency and minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot AGV systems, robotic equipment, and automated material handling systems including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and basic programming issues

  • Support maintenance and operation of AGVs, cobots, and ASRS technologies

  • Perform equipment diagnostics and corrective maintenance

  • Work with engineering, logistics, and production teams to improve automation processes and system utilization

  • Evaluate AGV pathways and recommend efficiency improvements

  • Review CAD layouts, routing paths, and system configurations

  • Interpreting electrical and hydraulic schematics

  • Coordinate with equipment vendors and suppliers on troubleshooting and system updates

  • Track KPIs related to AGV utilization and process improvements

  • Provide basic troubleshooting and operational training to team members

Required Qualifications

  • 3 years of manufacturing, automation, robotics or industrial maintenance experience.

  • Experience troubleshooting automated equipment or Robotics systems.

  • Strong Electrical and mechanic troubleshooting skills. 

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical and hydraulic schematics.

    Ability to sit and or stand for extended periods.
