Job Title: Automation QA Tester
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Automation QA Tester to join our client to support data quality assurance efforts across complex data platforms and reporting environments. This role focuses on validating the accuracy and reliability of data as it moves through pipelines, ensuring business decisions are driven by trustworthy information. The ideal candidate will work closely with data engineers and developers to identify issues, improve processes, and strengthen testing coverage. This is a hybrid contract opportunity based in Wilmington, DE or Center City, Philadelphia, requiring onsite presence three days per week.
Compensation:
$50 to $60 per hour
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities of the Automation QA Tester:

  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency by validating information across source systems, ETL workflows, data warehouses, and reporting layers
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies covering data transformations, aggregations, business rules, and both historical and incremental loads
  • Perform detailed data analysis using advanced SQL to reconcile discrepancies and confirm alignment between source and target systems
  • Manage defect tracking by identifying issues, documenting findings, and working with engineering teams to drive resolution and improve quality standards
  • Support reporting validation, user acceptance testing, and production readiness efforts to confirm reliable data delivery across dashboards and analytics tools

Qualifications and Skills for the Automation QA Tester:

  • Proven experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium combined with strong knowledge of ETL validation techniques
  • Advanced SQL expertise including joins, subqueries, common table expressions, and window functions for data analysis and testing
  • Hands on experience testing databases and data warehouse environments, with preference for Snowflake and exposure to platforms such as Redshift, BigQuery, or SQL Server
  • Familiarity with ETL and data processing tools such as Informatica, Talend, Databricks, SSIS, or Airflow, along with optional Python scripting capabilities
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem solving ability, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams
